This is one of the various Folklorama appearances in which Rudy has collaborated with a number of African-Caribbean organizations to promote and re-affirm African-Caribbean culture through dance and music within the Manitoban Community.

As a sociolinguistic researcher and storyteller, Rudy engages in empirical research work and field visits, to investigate first-hand what the annals of urban or past histories are telling us.

The Latin American community through the efforts of the Colombian Alliance of Manitoba, was engaged in a pilot band program.
Rudy worked closely with the organization’s management team to establish music classes within the Winnipeg Spanish-speaking community. They had a number of summer performance at the Elmwood community centre in Winnipeg.

Rudy is not just a multilingual and cultural curator- he’s a storyteller of language, a Caribbean creole commentator, and a relentless sociolinguistic researcher. He has authored two books and he often appears in local outdoor markets to introduce his books
